Basket-hilted Broadsword (Claymore)

A day project from September 2018. Basket-Hilted broadswords, also called Claymores are some of my favorite historical weapons. They commonly are depicted with red cloth inside the basket, and I heard folklore that implied that this cloth would be from the jackets of Redcoats. I can not confirm, but I suppose it's better than collecting ears from your fallen enemies. The Basket is not historically accurate, but these shapes would likely give the same level of protection.
